Day 2 complete!
Website May 4th, 2008Compared to yesterday, today was a toughie! A combination of the steeply undulating terrain and stop/start rain made for a very tiring ride. However, we made it safely and were treated to a massive pork roast at Kirstie’s parents (where we are staying tonight).
For those of you who noticed that the satellite tracking seemed to stop at Camelford…you’re right…we did stop for a while! Kirstie and Katie met us there in a tea shop (in fact we made them wait for about an hour as we misjudged our arrival time) where Chris had a jacket potato and I had ham, egg and chips; a much needed break and we only had another 18 miles to go.
64 miles to do tomorrow and having just looked at the weather it looks like things are improving!

Well done guys, great to see you are off to a flying start, now the weather has improved hope you are not too hot! Loving the run down of your mealtimes - makes me hungry just thinking about how much you need to eat to keep going.
Love from all the Kewells x

Great start boys! I’m still bowled over by what you’re doing. Am also loving how much food you’re getting through. Not that I’m surprised! We’re all thinking of you and tracking your progress avidly…. Sleep well tonight!

Hi David and Chris,
Hope all’s still going well!
Followed your progress so far - keep it up!
I’m at sea for 3 weeks so won’t be able to check-in.
Best Wishes from all at POL and take care,
Cheers
Pete
