Day 8 complete
Website May 10th, 2008

Over half way now (in days but not mileage unfortunately!) Today was nice and flat, we made really good time. Crossing the Runcorn bridge was interesting, but we made it ok! Hasn’t been the prettiest of routes but the scenery became nicer and nicer the deeper we got into Lancashire. Katie met us a couple of times along the way with food and snacks, kept us going in the heat! Staying in a lovely B&B Little Stubbins, v friendly and welcoming. Into the Lakes tomorrow…

Financial target reached and now needs to be revised because there are more and more folks following your venture each day. Today (Sunday) you’ll pass the 50% mark in mileage. Looks like you are just about to do so as I type. We are all very proud of you. Roger.

Hi guys!!
Very impressive, tracking you via the ASBO tags allows us to see when you suspiciously traval at 70mph along the M6 ;0)
It’s very inspiring what you both doing, a great adventure your making us very jealous here.
Have fun and enjoy the last half!
PS I hope the vasaline holds out, as the John Wayne and Tina Turner walks never suited you boys!
Hello boys, really great following your cycle pedals along the way and where would you be without the lovely Katie with her tea-breaks:) Hope the sun is adding lots if smiles to the treck and hope you are being very good with your stretchs, any massage en-route? …

Well done boys - both with the adventure and with the money raising - there is no stoping you now! We have had some lovely weather here up in the north of Scotland and hope it will last for your final days of the trip next week. Looking forward to seeing you and hearing about the trip.

Well done guys - you are going great guns. I am eagerly keeping track of your pedalling, no doubt losing more and more feeling in certain parts of your body whilst I can’t claim to be doing anything more energetic than lifting a glass of pimms - more times a day than I should probably too! Anyway, keep going and enjoy the final stretch!
